What happens
From your mailbox to your driveway
One business day of bench work, once the parts are here. The variable is sourcing, and for common families we usually have a match in 2 to 5 days.
- You call, we startThe search begins the moment you order, before your box has even shipped.
- We source the twinPart-number-matched, inspected and bench-tested. Usually 2 to 5 days for common families.
- We cloneYour VIN, keys, anti-theft and calibration copied across, then verified on a simulator.
- Both units backThe twin ready to install, and your original returned to you either way.
Why $299 is the cheap option
Against what the alternative costs
The comparison that matters is not $149 against $299. It is $299 against what happens if you keep looking, or if you give up and go to the dealer.

Straight about it
When this is the right call
It is not the right call for everyone. If you already have a matching donor in your hands, the $149 path is cheaper and you should take it.
Take this path if
- You looked and found nothing with your part number
- Your module is discontinued and no new part exists
- You do not want to gamble on an untested salvage unit
- You would rather have one company own the whole outcome
Don’t take it if
- You already have a part-number-matched donor — that is $149
- Your vehicle predates immobilizers and a plain swap would work
- Your no-start turns out to be a sensor, a wire or a ground
Not sure which path is yours? Read us the part number and we’ll tell you straight, including when the cheaper one is the right one.

Questions people ask us
How long does sourcing actually take?
For common families, usually 2 to 5 days. Scarce or discontinued modules take longer, and we tell you the realistic window on the call rather than after you have shipped.
What if you cannot find one at all?
We tell you, and we return your original. You are not charged the sourcing price for a module we never found.
Is the module you supply covered?
Yes, 6 months. That is the difference between this path and supplying your own donor — when we source it, the risk is ours.
Do I get my original back?
Always, either way. Some people keep it as a spare, and if your original is the only place your data exists, you want it in your own hands.
What if my original is completely dead?
If the board will not power up we can often still read the memory chip directly and build the twin from that. If even that fails we tell you before anything else happens.
Will my keys still work?
Yes. Your immobilizer and key data are part of what gets copied, so the keys in your pocket keep working. No dealer visit, no re-cutting.
